The Story/Objective:
Our journey begins in Vancouver and Toronto, travelling to Halifax to commence an unforgettable Canadian vacation. After arriving and settling in, our plan is to highlight a variety of local tourism through outdoor adventures, rich culture, cuisine, unique stays and stunning landscapes. There will be a special focus on visitors yearning for the real, taking roads less travelled and experiencing hidden gems off the beaten track. All while capturing the cool, small town charm and east coast culture this euphoric province has to offer over the course of one week. Canadians became more familiar with their backyard over the pandemic and we want to keep up with that momentum/engagement. Canadians are so fortunate to live in this beautiful country and we’re keen to further push their interest in avoiding those trips abroad while sticking close to home.
Our audience is actively engaged with our whereabouts and recommendations on said adventures. They follow along to see unique stays, outdoor adventures, dining options, and scenic landscapes. We plan to engage them through cinematic IG stories paired with music including both video (iPhone and our professional cinema camera) and photo (mirrorless Sony camera).
Our goal is to assist Visit Nova Scotia with your marketing needs by capturing fresh and modern photo and video assets for your content library. In addition, we want to share these images and tell stories of our road trip with our audience of 42+ thousand people. Ultimately, the goal of this trip will be to increase tourism growth for Nova Scotia.
Using Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, we will highlight the stunning scenery, authentic and real community experiences and aim to showcase the benefits of traveling to Nova Scotia.

How @therollingvan & Citizen North came to be.
Six years ago, we went gunnin’ for the road unknown. This moment ignited our odyssey of travel, self-exploration and a career we never expected. Picking up some camera gear early in our travels, we began documenting this lifestyle as if it were our day job. Funny thing, that’s exactly what came to be.
Images and videos were the perfect way to express the authentic stories we were seeking to share. These same stories connected us to reputable brands (Osprey, Columbia Sportswear), international companies (Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels and Resorts), and local businesses.
We now operate a full services content creation company, Citizen North. We pride ourselves in being light and fast to accommodate the pace of new media. Every day is a new challenge that we embrace with open arms and a spirited enthusiasm.
